Busy Busy Busy!

Oh my. This last week has been so busy but so relaxing! I went camping and canoeing with the boy wednesday, thursday, and friday. it was wonderful. we cooked out on the grill and had a great time. its going to be a while till we see each other again and boy am i missing him.

on another note...i started sewing again! ive been thinking about it every day and just never sat down to do it but today was different. i started cutting and pinning and its almost done! whew. i forgot how much i enjoy sewing. i get started and i just cant stop. its great.

im in (almost) constant thought about my health...or more like body image. its something ive dealt with since i was in 6th grade and it hasnt changed. i go through phases where i eat well and excercise regularly but then ill quit for a while. when im not taking care of my body the way i should be i feel guilty. so guilty that it just fills my mind and makes me sick. so tonight i went for a run. not just a little 5 minute run, i went on a jog for an hour with my pup charlie. i didnt run the whole time seeing as how its been a while since i really worked out. but i ran in intervals for a whole hour! woohoo. it didnt seem like that long because i was having so much fun with it. i really hope that i will keep this up and get into better shape and just feel better.

Catching Up

i have so much of that to do. catching up, that is. i feel like it is almost pointless for me to even write on this blog because no one reads it! i have a huge desire to be an awesome blogger, one with hundreds of followers, giving great advice, advertising, and sharing my truly wonderful life, but i guess i just dont see it yet.

on a much happier note... im going on a camp and canoe trip tomorrow! woo hoo! im going with the boy for his birthday. we'll be camping 2 nights and canoing one day. i cant wait. also i am babysitting my cousins all weekend. so its going to be a busy week/end but it will all be fun. i hope to post lots of pictures this weekend!

It's been a while...

i havent blogged much at all lately. maybe because i am getting into the swing of my new schedule with living at home and working two different jobs while finding another. have so much less to do than during the semester, but i feel that i am just as busy. ive really been lacking in the photograph taking area so i decided to change that last night. my dear grandma miller had her 78th birthday last night. it was a wonderful night of celebration and im so blessed to have her in my life. i love family get togethers almost more than anything else in this world. the happiness that floods me is indescribable. here are quite a few photos of the evening.

Rain Rain Go Away...

I feel like most of the time pictures can describe how im feeling better than words. afterall, a pictures worth a thousand words, right? Its rainy.rain.rainin. im one of those people that is greatly affected by the weather. its been raining all week. my mood all week=gloomy. for multiple reasons though. moving home means missing all of my amazing friends back at school. they are my life, my everything. its so hard not being with them.

on a much happier note, i saved a baby duck's life yesterday! sure did! so the little sister has ducks and they laid eggs and now we have baby ducks running around every where and more nests to hatch. I was outside just looking around and i saw a new baby half way in an egg and half out. it was just laying there on the ground not moving so i automatically assumed it was dead. i looked just a little bit closer and it was breathing! so i yelled at my mom and she came outside and scooped it right up. the eggshell was super stuck to its new little feathers so we washed it off under some warm water. i really thought that it was going to die but then it started perking up. we wrapped him in a napkin and i had to go lay it back out in the nest. the momma duck got up and i laid little survivor down with the rest of the eggs. i was really worried that momma duck would reject it or squish it but so far so good! here are a couple photos...

Wonderful Wednesday

This morning I met one of my best friends D (Addie) in Ozark for a little girl time. We met at a cute little antique/tea room and then mozied over to the Jazz St. Cafe for some raspberry tea, lemonade, and delish cookies. After that we walked to a not-so-great thrift store. I remembered this amazing antique store just down the road from where we were so we drove over. D and I found the best old windows, they both have 6 sections, and for only 5 dollars! We just had to get them. One of my thrifting goals of the summer was to find an old polaroid and I FOUND ONE! ahhh! So. Excited. It also was only 5 dollars. There were lots of other goodies that I found but im on a limited budget until I can get a second job. I spent the rest of my day cleaning the house and hanging out with the little sis. Overall, very good day. My mom is off work tomorrow so we are going to go buy some flowers and possibly do a little shopping. Fun. Here are a few photos from my day:

Yesterday was sad. It looked sad, it felt sad. Nothing about yesterday was good. And I feel that today won't be any different. I'm making some changes in my life and I know they will not be easy to live with. It is right for me in the long run but I hate this feeling. Alone. That is what I am right now. All alone.

Well, I have a lot to get done today. I am going to get dressed up a little, feel pretty, then maybe I'll be a little happier. It is sunny outside today, that is simply a gift from God.

Home Sweet Home

I moved all of my things out of my dorm room this past weekend with the help of my sweet mom. It took two extremely full car loads and a whole Saturday, but we did it. I now have a room at home full of boxes and bags full of things in need of finding a place on shelves and in drawers just waiting for me to get off of here and put them away. Its a cold and gloomy May day, im not a fan. I want sunny and warm May days back. It's just me and my black lab Charlie at home today. Mom and Dad are at work, and the little sis Haley is at school. It makes for a lonely and quiet house. I hope to be back on later and post about the things I did, or didn't accomplish today :)
